Our Mission is to help clients reclaim their lives and recover from their alcoholism and drug addiction in a safe and supportive spiritual environment. As a team we work on a daily basis to teach the principles of the 12 steps with life and social skills, which would enable our residents to live sober and abundant lives.
Directed by Peter Marinelli, our Sober Living Program offers after-care, outpatient treatment and ongoing recovery support services. Peter has been sober since 1988 and has dedicated his life to helping others recover from alcoholism and drug addiction. As an international circuit speaker, Peter has given hundreds of talks across the U.S. and Europe on subjects related to recovery. He has spoken at numerous treatment centers, universities and before medical organizations to both suffers and clinicians alike.
Peter has also been invited to speak for the National Council on Alcoholism and has been a guest on talk radio and has done workshops on Spiritual Transformation for various religious organizations. A published author, he has spent the majority of his sobriety in the Treatment Center industry. Peter Marinelli’s mission is to help addicts and alcoholics recover from their fatal illness.

The Florida House Sober Living Program distinguishes itself from other sober living programs for many reasons. “As I have been in the field of recovery for many years, I have witnessed firsthand what methods are successful in treating the alcoholic and addict upon discharge from treatment where many relapse,” said Peter.
It’s a “back to basics” as to what always has worked for these addicted folks. The Florida House Sober living Program is focused on spiritual immersion.
Residents are required to live by the motto it’s either impeccable or unacceptable in everything they do. Consistency accountability and responsibility are the watch words every day.
Residents also have the opportunity to study and implement spiritual tools from The Four Agreements, The Power of Now and Awareness, along with the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Our goal at The Florida House Sober Living Program is permanent sobriety.

- Private rooms with the highest of accommodations in newly remodeled homes just off our main campus.
- Residents also have access to our medical staff
- Psychological services-Residents are involved with our resident clinician in one on one as well as group sessions.

The Florida House Sober Living Program is not just another sober house for Women
This program features very unique components.
Along with the highest of standards and a curriculum that is based in spirituality, the residents of The Florida House Sober Living Program are part of a team that has thus far produced an 80 percent recovery rate since opening in January 2011 with our program for men.

Residents enjoy their sober journey in others ways as well. They will get to attend sporting events, fishing, snorkeling bowling beach activities as well as attending recovery events in the South Florida area, and “A Day of Beauty”
As the residents experience their journey through all 12 steps of recovery they will be taught how to teach others give talks and join local 12 support groups and be of service.
Residents also get to participate in local activities whenever possible in a way of giving back.

Too often those who suffer from addiction return home only to experience a relapse, before they attend a 12 step fellowship for the needed and vital support. They leave treatment without enough tools necessary to remain clean and sober and have almost no practice at leaving outside the cocoon of treatment. We intend to eliminate the failures and create more success stories for addiction suffers, and close the gap that exists between treatment and returning home.
Our residents are able to be ready for their return home because we offer the opportunity for them to work with the tools they will acquire.
Attending outside 12 step meetings and getting actively involved in local support groups, seeking employment, and becoming involved in community events allow our clients to experience life in real time, all under the tutelage of our experienced staff.
Our comprehensive after-care plan is impeccable. Our Florida House Sober Living staff is in regular contact with our resident’s and families after discharge. Residents have access to our program 24/7 after discharge where regular drug testing is given. Residents usually request to stay in the area whereby we are able to place them in local sober living homes. Our quarterly alumni meetings are well attended by our former residents who are now walking with a spirit of wanting to give back rather than taking away.
Further, because of our sober contacts around the world, our residents are never alone. We make sure they are met by sober alcoholics upon their return home.
We are located just a short walk from The Florida House Treatment Center’s main campus and conveniently located near the beautiful south Florida beaches.
