The Florida House Experience is a comprehensive treatment program whose philosophy embodies responsibility, accountability, and living life as a fully functioning adult. Our philosophy includes the need for self-care, self-advocacy and autonomy. We achieve this with our patients through a non-enabling approach to treatment. Our philosophy is that patients have not been functioning at their fullest potential. Families are encouraged to appropriately raise their expectation which motivate our patients to work harder and experience struggle, gradually increasing their self-worth.
The Florida House Experience strives to provide patients and families with an environment that promotes growth and change. We accomplish this by working with the patients underlying issues, family system, distorted thinking and self-destructive behaviors. The patient and family are treated as a whole, addressing all parts of the system that have been impacted by the consequences of addiction. At the Florida House Experience our philosophy is to recognize the emotional pain and struggle of both family and patient and thus create an environment where they can go through this process together.
